APPLICATION PRINCIPLES OF FIRST AID CERVICAL COLLAR
Principles of application of the first aid cervical collar: The first aid lanyards are a material used to prevent the movement of the neck area from right to left and from the front to back during the transportation of patients with special conditions, specially produced for one piece hard material ambulance services.
IMMOBILIZATION PRINCIPLES
To prevent further damage to the spinal cord and spinal cord, the head and neck are aligned with the same linear alignment. Head and neck should not be tilted forward, stretched backwards or tilted to the left or right. Keeping the patient’s head and neck region in the same linear position prevents fracture of the spinal cord, friction of foreign bodies and vertebra damage. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• The head and neck area should be in the normal natural posture position.

• Once the head and neck are appropriately stabilized into their natural state, a second person should select the most appropriate cervical collar size for the patient by aligning the neck area with his or her hand.
• The person who receives the cervical collar size should then adjust the appropriate height by aligning this measurement on the neck.
• During the measurement of the distance the foam on the collar should not be used. The size of the forehead should be marked by hand over the supporting plastic material of the neck.
WARNINGS
Head and neck alignment must be maintained during the entire procedure. The patient’s head should never be played after the first aid cervical collar is correctly placed and the patient is ready for transport. Before transfer, the patient should be fixed to the stretcher by means of appropriate straps on the stretcher and an auxiliary material providing head support.
Application In Lying Position
If the patient is in a lying position, the inner neck of the present neck should be slightly shifted from one side to the back of the neck of the patient, and the jaw part of the neck should be carefully placed under the patient’s chin after the tip has passed to the other side. Adhesive tape at the other end of the neck should be fixed by providing tightness.
Warnings for first aid cervical collar application
